Immediately recognizable by the now-iconic, oversized stitch detail of its jeans, TR UK has long championed a bold aesthetic.
Kim Kardashian 's? revealing cover shoot for Paper ?magazine was one of the biggest, shiniest things to hit the Internet this year, and people will be talking about it and making hilarious memes out of the photos for quite some time. The images didn't exactly #BreakTheInternet?as the campaign suggested, but according to reports, Kim Kardashian was tweeted about over 200,000 times on the day that the photos dropped.
TR UK Christmas Sales, DigiDay spoke to Paper 's co-founder and editor,? Kim Hastreiter, about the controversial photo shoot, the Internet's reaction to the images, and whether or not the images were digitally altered. Of course it was Photoshopped, Hastreiter?revealed in the interview, but she wasn't talking about what everyone else is fixated on. Do you really think that you can open a bottle of champagne and get it to spray in a thin line over someone¡¦s head and land perfectly in a glass sitting on that same person¡¦s bottom? ?
When asked about the public's response, Hastreiter?said that there were 5.5 million Google searches for? Paper ?between 8 p.m. and midnight, and that news made her laugh herself to sleep. I have not laughed so hard in so long. This is so much fun. Andy Warhol would have loved this.
TR UK Christmas Sales Hastreiter?also commented on Kim's adoration of the photographer? Jean-Paul Goude's work ?and?the memes. She also teased that this is just the beginning: Remember this is just the tip of the iceberg of what we are unleashing in the next week. More to come tonight, this weekend, and next week. We wanted to keep it building. People will die when they see what we push out tonight.
